You want to eliminate chemicals from your family's routine. Replace the nasty stuff with home made, natural products. You want to make your own soap so that you can dial in the ingredients to target your family's specific needs.
But making soap is kind of scary... where do you start?
I have over 14 years of experience making soap, and I will guide you through the process so that you have the knowledge and experience you need to make it on your own!
In this farmstead soap making class, each participant designs, measures, and mixes their own 2.5 lb batch of soap. We use only natural ingredients, including farm fresh raw milk. You get to choose up to three custom add-ins to personalize your soap, such as your choice of essential oils, oat flour, rose clay, activated charcoal powder, sea salt, and more. We go over the process of designing a new recipe, and important information about handling lye safely.
You will make your soap in my log cabin, by the fire. The class takes about 2.5 hours. All materials and ingredients are provided, and you get to take home your soap in your new mold. I will email you instructions after class to help you remember what you learned.
This class is offered Saturdays January 11 and 25, February 1 and 15, 2025. They will start at noon and go for about 2.5 hours, or until we are done. Up to 3 participants per class.
If you are not able to attend on the dates listed, please contact me at hilary@betweenthetreesfarm.com, or 802-760-8510 and we will see if we can schedule a time that works for you.
