If you buy the best quality pasture raised pork, dress it with equally good bbq sauce.
This sauce takes about 5 minutes to whip up and has zero sketchy ingredients.
Maple BBQ Sauce Recipe
2 cups tomato sauce (or a 15 oz can)
1/2 to 3/4 cup maple syrup
1/2 to 3/4 cup apple cider vinegar
1/4 cup soy sauce
2 tsp paprika
1 tsp ground ginger
1 tbs hot sauce
1. Combine ingredients in a large sauce pan.
2. Bring to a boil briefly.
3. Pour into a quart sized mason jar for storage.
This recipe makes 3 to 4 cups of sauce.
To use it on pork, bake the meat till it's mostly done cooking. About a half hour before serving, baste the meat on all sides with bbq sauce. Return to oven.
Baste it again 15 minutes later and finish baking.
Have extra sauce available on the table for people to add to the meat on their plates.
